![]() When someone doubts God’s love for humanity, they often pose a question that has no validity, such as “If there is a God, why does He allow people to be stranded on deserted islands?” 1. The first question to ask those worried about people on deserted islands is, “How does anyone know there are people on deserted islands?” Are we getting reality confused with reality shows? If anyone knows of stranded people on islands, the right thing to do is to rescue them. 2. If there are inhabitants on uninhabitable islands, they may have gone there to get away from masses of people who do not honor God. 3. It’s not known whether there are people on deserted islands, but adults commonly end up in dangerous and isolated places when they disregard God. People, are discovered, frequently, in American towns in dangerously isolated conditions. God does give warning signs, but individuals have to make the choice of accepting His warnings. Young women have ended up in abusive relationships, isolated from family and society, as a result of ignoring signs from God of imminent danger. It is never God’s desire for anyone to end up in a helpless place, but dismissal of God’s divine advice results in isolation and danger. 4. Wherever anyone is, God is there also; He is omnipresent. God is in the details (the sun, the rain, the sea, the air, the sand). Everyone has the opportunity to know God, whether it’s through nature, through divine intervention, or through the Scriptures. God gives everyone a personal experience in life to accept Him. Those who make excuses, forfeit their opportunity to know God and be protected. "God makes Himself known to people in harmful situations." God makes Himself known to people in harmful situations. When people turn to God, acknowledging they can do nothing without Him, they are on the road to prosperity. Rescues happen every day through divine intervention of God. Whenever someone proposes the thought of people being stranded on deserted islands, the greater question to ponder is, “Why do people in civilized areas doubt God and make lame excuses, not giving Him credit for His guidance, protection and profound love?” For more information, read “How to Hear God to Prosper." © VC Edwards 2013 |
