![]() by VC Edwards When you go to the DMV to renew your license, you are asked if you would like to become an organ donor. Your answer should be the same as if you were asked if you would like to die to help a greedy doctor become richer. NO! Organ donation has become big business for doctors in the United States and someone loses a life (or jeopardizes a life) to spare someone else’s life, every time a transplant takes place. Not a great offer for the one whose life is sacrificed or health is compromised. While you may think you are signing “yes” to donate if you are ever in a predicament that guarantees you are not going to “make it,” other scenarios could come into play. You could go to the hospital for something else—you answer “routine” questions, which disclose you agree to be a donor and then you are given long-term medication that impairs your health and makes you susceptible to be a donor (you, of course, are unaware of this). You never want to comply to a system that could allow someone else to make a fortune off your death or jeopardize your health. Doctors in the U.S., typically, do not perform transplants for free; doctors hit the “jackpot” every time they perform a transplant, so there is a high price on human organs. The donor just won’t get paid for their organs, nor will the donor’s family—because it is considered “unethical” for the donor to make money selling his or her organs. And after surgery, the doctor walks away a “hero,” or God’s helper, because the donor recipient was led to believe a donor was the only hope, blocking out the fact that the recipient had to pray for someone to die or sacrifice his or her health. You are in trouble the minute you trust someone other than God with your health, which is your life. Doctors don’t necessarily do what people assume, which is to care for your health. You are responsible for your health. So, trust God, when you need a miracle. And never compromise your health for someone else. You are interfering with that person going to God to receive a miracle. God has instructed us to tell others about the miracle power of Christ. He has never told us to sacrifice our bodies for others to live; that was a sacrifice that could only be made by Jesus, the Healer. And because of Jesus, we can receive miracles without greedy men compromising our health. The medical industry PREDICTS each year how many people will receive transplants, just as they predict how many people will die of cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses. Where do medical practitioners get predictions of dome? Are their predictions based on the premise that they will manipulate the health or medical reports of those who get routine checkups? Only God knows who will live and who will die. Doctors will be less zealous for organ donation if a family member of theirs thinks it’s noble to sign up to be a donor. Don’t envision your life ending by a terrible accident, in which your family has to make a split-second decision to give away your organs to save someone else. Envision living long by the amazing and loving grace of God. For those who need a transplant, Jesus is still in the healing business, for no charge, and the only One who has to die for you to live, already did—Jesus Christ. Read “How to Hear God to Prosper,” for more information. So, the next time you go to the DMV, don’t think that donating your organs is a humanitarian question that any upstanding citizen should oblige. See organ donation for what it is—a money-making system for the medical industry. Therefore, renew your declaration to live, by checking NO to organ donation. ©VC Edwards, 2016, All rights reserved.
