Even though many people sign up for a gym membership at the onset of a New Year, if you are contemplating the same, but you hate to exercise, here are four benefits to skip the gym. BE HAPPY IN THE NEW YEAR. Your mental health is as important as your physical health, so avoid the guilt and depression of setting a personal goal that you have no motivation to accomplish. Find an activity in the New Year that you enjoy! PROTECT YOUR BODY. Excessive and rigorous exercise can cause injury to your joints. You will do your joints a favor by avoiding painstaking exercises on gym equipment. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Don’t pay hard-earned money for a gym membership, if you are not certain you will use it. There are plenty of free ways to stay fit. MULTI-TASK TO EXERCISE. Exercise by walking in the fresh air to run errands. You can’t multi-task at the gym.
